When I decided to embark on a yoga teacher training journey, I knew I wanted a program that aligned with my goals — to deepen my practice, build teaching skills, and eventually integrate yoga and nutrition as a wellness coach. After thorough research, I narrowed my options to two standout studios in Brussels: Yoga Loft and Academy and Yoga Room Academy.
Both offer excellent training, but each has its own strengths. Here’s what I discovered, why I chose Yoga Loft, and what I’ve learned so far.

Yoga Loft and Academy
Yoga Loft offers a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program that emphasizes personalized learning, practical skills, and community building. It felt like the perfect fit for me — and here’s why:
Program Structure & Schedule
▪️ The Yoga Loft training is spread over 10 weekends, which was ideal for balancing my studies with personal life. Each weekend feels like an immersive experience without being overwhelming.
Curriculum Highlights
• Balanced Approach: While Yoga Loft introduces yoga philosophy and meditation, it’s not overly spiritual. This was important for me, as I wanted to explore mindfulness without feeling disconnected from the physical side of yoga.
• Anatomy Focus: The anatomy classes are practical, clear, and incredibly useful without being overwhelming. I now better understand how the body moves and how to guide students safely.
• Cueing & Adjustments: We’ve practiced hands-on adjustments to help students feel more comfortable in postures. I noticed this skill makes a huge difference — students feel seen, supported, and confident when adjustments are done correctly.
• Community: One of the best aspects of Yoga Loft is the warm and supportive environment. Learning alongside like-minded people has helped me form meaningful connections that I’ll cherish long after the training ends.
• Extra Perks: The training includes a yoga mat and access to unlimited yoga classes throughout the program, which really enhances the learning experience.
Cost
• The 200-hour training at Yoga Loft costs approximately €2,800, which includes all materials, the yoga mat, and unlimited class access during the training.

Yoga Room Academy
Yoga Room Academy is another fantastic option, known for its variety of programs and dynamic environment. While I ultimately chose Yoga Loft, Yoga Room has several qualities worth considering.
Program Structure & Schedule

- Intensive 4-week training for those who prefer a condensed learning experience.
- Weekend-based format spread over several months for those who need more flexibility.
Curriculum Highlights
• Diverse Training Options: Yoga Room offers specialized programs in disciplines like Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Vinyasa Flow, giving you more options to find a program that matches your interests.
• Flexible Learning Options: The combination of live classes, self-study materials, and online resources allows for a more customized learning experience.
• Multilingual Support: With teachers from diverse backgrounds, you can expect classes in English, French, and Dutch, which enhances accessibility.

• The Yoga Room 200-hour training starts at approximately €3,200, depending on the chosen format and location.

Why I Chose Yoga Loft
Ultimately, I chose Yoga Loft because I valued the smaller group size, the supportive environment, and the balanced approach that integrates anatomy, teaching skills, and mindfulness without feeling too spiritual.
I was initially nervous about teaching a group — it felt intimidating! But with practice and guidance, I gained confidence and realized that being a yoga teacher isn’t about perfection. I’ve learned that teachers are human, and mistakes don’t define your ability to guide others.
The emphasis on adjusting rather than correcting students was another standout feature. It shifted my perspective, helping me focus on creating a positive and empowering experience rather than striving for perfect postures.
Which Studio Should You Choose?
Both studios offer incredible opportunities, but choosing the right one depends on your preferences:
✅ Yoga Loft if you’re looking for small groups, a warm atmosphere, and a well-balanced program.
✅ Yoga Room if you prefer more options in training styles or want a faster-paced intensive format.
If you’re considering yoga teacher training in Brussels, I highly recommend exploring both options — and most importantly, trusting your instincts to choose what feels right for you.
